How to Use Glass Petri Dishes

1. Perform all steps in a sterile lab environment (laminar flow hood) to avoid contamination.

2. Open the sterile dish gently, pour 15-20ml liquid culture medium into the bottom, and let it solidify at room temp.

3. Inoculate the medium surface with your sample via streaking/spreading, then cover the lid tightly.

4. Incubate the dish upside down at the required temperature (e.g., 37°C for microbial culture) for the specified time.

5. After use, sterilize the dish again before cleaning or disposal.
